CampusFrance Hong Kong Office is situated at the French Consulate General & functions under the direct authority of the Consul General of France. Mr. Louis Cheung is at your service.
Higher education in France is renowned for its quality and accessibility. Tuition fees are in many instances waived. Degree programmes are available at all levels for undergraduate and graduate students. The required level of French language proficiency varies widely from programme to programme. Students are advised to learn French before arriving in France or to take up an intensive French course in France before beginning their academic programme. More and more classes are available in English as are complete curricula.
CampusFrance Hong Kong
Located at the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong, the CampusFrance Hong Kong, in charged by Mr. Martin HO offers a range of services (for free) to help prepare for studying in France. Local branch of the CampusFrance in Hong Kong assists the Consulate General in promoting French Higher Education in Hong Kong and in Macau. It provides a presentation of the French higher education system and practical information about studies in France.

The European Higher Education Fair 2011 (www.ehef-hk.org), for the 11th consecutive year, will be held on 12nd & 13th March 2011, at the Central Library, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.

Erasmus Mundus Double or Joint Degree programmes & scholarships
Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses are high-quality study programmes at masters level offered by a consortium of at least three European higher education institutions. They last between one & two years which lead to the award of a recognized double, joint or multiple degree. Students have to study in at least two institutions. Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses cover almost all academic disciplines. An Erasmus Mundus Masters Course normally starts between August and November, depending on the usual starting date of the academic year in the countries concerned.
Please note that there are no Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses offered at undergraduate or doctorate levels.
Scholarships are also available for students who have been admitted to an Erasmus Mundus Masters Course. Hong Kong & Macau students can apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship. These scholarships are awarded to the best students on a competitive basis.
The scholarship covers your travel and living expenses and tuition in Europe for the full duration of the course:
1 year = 21,000 €
2 year = 42,000 €
1 & 2 years = proportional amount between 21,000 € and 42,000 €

Institut d’Etudes Supérieures des Arts (www.iesa.info) , is now offering two scholarships for students in HK.
The ‘Discovery Scholarship: Art Market and Conviviality in Paris’ is worth 2350€ for each student.
Including language courses, arts courses and excursion during the summer in 2010, the scholarships are designated to students who have a strong interest in the domain of art.
Alexandre Yersin Excellence Scholarships: This programme, created in 2000 and financed by the Consulate General, offers scholarships for excellence each year in the following domains: business, law/political sciences/administration, science/ engineering, design/architecture/urban planning, hotel management and fine arts.
Eiffel Excellence Scholarships: This programme, created in 1998 and financed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offers scholarships for excellence in the following fields: economics/ business, law/political sciences/administration and engineering.
Croucher Foundation Scholarships and Fellowships: In 2000, this Hong Kong-based foundation opened its scholarship and fellowship programmes to Hong Kong permanent residents wishing to pursue research in a French laboratory. Through an agreement signed with the Croucher Foundation, the CNRS is responsible for identifying host laboratories. Interested students may contact CNRS (minh-ha.pham-delegue@cnrs-dir.fr) or INRIA (annick.theis-viemont@inria.fr). The deadline to submit the applications to the Croucher Foundation for the 2007-08 academic year is 16th November 2006 (5pm). To apply for a student visa, you should provide the necessary documents. Once you have these documents ready, you should contact our CampusFrance Hong Kong Office to fix an appointment for the ’academic’ interview for the students visa. Afterwards only, you may go to the Visa Section.

Since 1998, a number of inter-university exchange programmes have been created between Hong Kong and Macau universities and French higher education institutions. Students interested in taking part in one of these exchange programmes should contact the appropriate service at their university. There is no official equivalence between French and Hong Kong diplomas. The French host institution determines the equivalent diploma in the French system based on certified true translations, submitted by the student, of his or her diplomas. As an indication only, you can download the table of equivalence of the higher education systems in France and in Hong Kong. The Consulate General supports financially the French Alumni Association which presents every year the directory of the Alumni of the French Academic Institutions of Hong Kong & Macao. French Alumni Association aims to foster and enhance the bonds of friendship among permanent residents of Hong Kong & Macao who have studied in France and individuals with keen interest in French culture. Many outdoor and indoor activities are organized by this association.
This association is presided by Ms. Kitty Tse with a group of dynamic committee members, who ceaselessly organize and participate in various kinds of educational, scientific and cultural activities.
